Kyrgyzstan is a country in Central Asia. Kyrgyzstan is one of the seven independent Turkic states today and is a member of the Turkic Council and TURKSOY. The neighbors of the landlocked country are Kazakhstan in the north; Uzbekistan to the west, Tajikistan to the southwest and China to the southeast.
